A Ministry in the Silent Void of Unconcern

Bible Truth For You is a ministry that enthusiastically embraces the Christian Fundamentalist perspective; that is, we believe that every word of the Bible is literally and totally true and are from God, accurately and faithfully recorded and preserved in the Received Text, which has authority over every person's life. God commands people to repent of sin, trust in the atoning work of God the Son Jesus Christ, believe and receive him as God. we are to be born anew in a new life by God the Holy Spirit and enter into a new and loving relationship with God. We should master his teaching from the Bible, pray, forsake the evil ways of this world, submit to God in all things, strive to live in purity and holiness, and live lives of love, empathy, charity, mercy, and understanding to all men, ministering God's truth so that they may be saved from destruction.

We do not embrace either right or left wing politics, capitalism or socialism, conservatism or liberalism, or any other system that has been invented by men. We advocate obedience to clear directives in the Bible from God for the conduct of every life and encourage every Christian to examine whether his beliefs are scriptural or merely very strong personal preferences. We believe that no Christian should ever elevate his preferences up to the same level as biblical doctrine or seek to teach or preach such opinions to others as God's Truth; such an act would be a sin before God and a denial of the gospel.

Christians lose appeal in B&B case

ENGLAND (The Christian Institute) – The Christian owners of a Cornish B&B today lost their appeal against last year’s ruling that their policy of restricting double rooms to married couples discriminated against a homosexual couple.

But, while upholding that ruling, the Court of Appeal warned that a new intolerance should not take root against Christians because of their beliefs about sexual ethics.

The three judges upheld last year’s County Court decision which found the policy to be discriminatory on grounds of sexual orientation – despite the fact that the policy was also applied to unmarried heterosexual couples.

Last year Peter and Hazelmary Bull, owners of the Chymorvah B&B near Penzance, were ordered to pay £3,600 in damages to Steven Preddy and Martyn Hall, a gay couple in a civil partnership.

The Christian Institute funded Mr and Mrs Bull’s appeal. Spokesman Simon Calvert said: “Peter and Hazelmary have been penalised for their beliefs about marriage.

“Not everyone will agree with Peter and Hazelmary’s beliefs, but a lot of people will think it is shame that the law doesn’t let them live and work according to their own values under their own roof.

“Something has gone badly wrong with our equality laws when good, decent people like Peter and Hazelmary are penalised but extremist hate preachers are protected.”
